Boston Elder Program Grants

Boston Medical Center / Elders Living at Home Program
$30,000 – Operating support to provide emergency shelter, case management, and rapid housing for vulnerable elders in Greater Boston

Friendship Works
$30,000 – Operating support for volunteer programs providing visiting services and medical escorts to frail, isolated elders

Greater Boston Legal Services
$10,000 – Operating support for the Affordable Housing Project for Elders providing representation for elders illegally or inappropriately threatened with eviction, and working to preserve long-term affordable housing units

Hearth, Inc.
$20,000 – General operating support to provide low-income and formerly homeless elders with service-enriched affordable housing as well as housing search, stabilization, and homelessness prevention services

Homeowner Options for Massachusetts Elders
$25,000 – Operating support for counseling and educational services to help low-income elders age in place through the Elder Homeowner Displacement Prevention program

Neighborhood of Affordable Housing *
East Boston
$20,000 – Support of routine and emergency minor home repairs and home counseling for elders in East Boston, Charlestown, and Chelsea

Three-Year Grant

Action, Inc.
$48,500 – Support of the Cape Ann Commercial Driver’s License training pilot program, helping fishermen and low-income Cape Ann residents access well-paid jobs.
