$30,000 – in support of the organization’s Small Fish-Big Taste Chowder program, a sustainable fishing initiative supporting local fisherman and food relief programs

$60,000 – Operating support for tax preparation assistance and building financial literacy skills for fishing families, particularly immigrant fishing industry workers (two grants, the first of which was approved in fiscal 2021, paid in fiscal 2022)

$30,000 – Support to provide housing rehabilitation for low-income older adults

The Family Pantry of Cape Cod

$15,000 for the food pantry’s Fish Distribution program, supporting local fishermen and families in need

$40,000 – Program support for housing-related assistance to fishing families and older people of the Lower Cape, and for expanded community outreach

Immigrants’ Assistance Center

$25,000 – Continued citizenship services for immigrant fishing families in New Bedford

$40,000 – Operating support for short-term emergency financial assistance for fishing families and older people on Cape Cod

$50,000 –Second installment for a special “medically tailored groceries” program serving older adults with chronic illnesses

$25,000 – Additional support for food distribution to area fishing families and older people

$10,000 – Second-year support for a pilot program on Cape Cod to provide citizenship services for individuals with legal resident status

Wellspring House

$25,000 – Support for Wellspring’s Educational Resource Collaborative program serving Gloucester high school students who are not pursuing post-secondary education (check purpose)

YWCA Southeastern Massachusetts

$5,000 – Support for health and wellness programs for older adults in New Bedford

$30,000 – Support for the Elders Living at Home Program, serving older homeless individuals or those at risk of becoming so

Friendship Works, Inc.

$35,000 – Operating support for volunteer programs providing visiting services and medical escorts to frail, isolated senior citizens

Greater Boston Legal Services

$15,000 – Support for the Affordable Housing Project for Elders program, providing representation for older people illegally or inappropriately threatened with eviction, and advocacy to preserve long-term affordable housing units

Neighborhood of Affordable Housing*

$20,000 – Support of routine and emergency minor home repairs and home counseling for older adults in the Boston neighborhoods of East Boston, the North and West Ends, and Charlestown
